MonkeyLio exists to keep a quote, an acceptance and the job details together. That means it holds real information about real people. This page explains what we collect, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Who is responsible

UpPluck operates MonkeyLio and is responsible for the personal information described here. The business using MonkeyLio is responsible for the customer and staff information it enters.

We do not sell personal information.

2. What we collect

Account information — name, email address, mobile number and an optional profile photo, plus the businesses you belong to and your role in them.

Business information — your company name and branding, saved terms and agreement, review links, settings and payment connection details.

Work records — quotes and proposals, job photos you add, customer contact details, private notes and customer photos, customer acceptances and declines, assigned jobs and job status.

Time entries — start and end times for a job, with the phone’s approximate location and accuracy at each tap where the phone allows it.

Messages — the content and delivery records of text messages and emails sent through the Service.

Payment information — payment records and totals. Payment credentials you connect are stored encrypted and are never shown back to a browser. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not by MonkeyLio.

Technical and support records — service logs, and a record of any time our team accesses a business account for support, including who, when and for how long.

3. Location information

Location is recorded only when a crew member taps Start or End on a job — never continuously, and never in the background.

Each entry keeps the coordinates, the reported accuracy and the distance from the job address so a business owner can see whether a time looks right. The phone decides whether to share location; if it is declined, the time is still recorded and marked as having no location.

4. How we use information

We use it to run the Service: to show the right people the right records, deliver proposals and messages, keep a business’s records separate from everyone else’s, let owners see what their team needs to see, provide support, keep the Service secure and working, and improve it.

5. Who we share with

Your team — people in your business see the records your role allows: crew see their own jobs and time entries, owners see the business.

Your customers — a customer sees the proposal you send them: your branding, the work, selected photos, totals, terms and agreement.

Payment processing — Stripe processes payments for a business using that business’s own Stripe account.

Messaging — Twilio delivers text messages; email providers deliver email.

Infrastructure — hosting, database, file storage and related services that keep the Service running.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect someone’s rights or safety.

6. Business records versus your records

Customer details, notes, photos and quotes belong to the business that entered them and are isolated from other businesses by access rules at the database level.

If you are a customer of a business using MonkeyLio, that business is your first point of contact for correcting or removing your details. We will help if a business cannot be reached.

7. How we protect information

Business logos, job photos, customer photos and profile photos are kept in private storage and shown through short-lived signed links rather than public addresses. Payment credentials are encrypted at rest with the business’s own identity bound into the encryption. Support access is time-limited and audited. Access to records is checked against business membership on every request.

8. How long we keep information

Records are kept while the account is active. When a business asks to close, we delete or disable its records, except where we must keep something — for example a record that an agreement was accepted, or something the law requires us to retain.

9. Your choices

You can update your name, mobile number and profile photo in your profile, and a business owner can edit or remove a team member.

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Customers can stop receiving messages by telling the business that sent them.

10. Children and general audiences

The Service is a business tool for adults running or working in a trade or service business. It is not directed at children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes and will revise the “last updated” date above. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will do our best to tell account holders directly.
